Recording artist Raj Rathor has been stunning audiences in concert in the Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and Las Vegas areas in such places as the Ventura Theatre, Pasadena’s Ice House, The Central on the Sunset Strip, McCabes in Santa Monica, The Monterey Jazz Festival as well as many exciting venues in Las Vegas including Caesars Palace, The Wynn, The Flamingo, Mandalay Bay, The Venetian, Planet Hollywood, Paris, The Excalibur and UNLV’s Concert Hall.
Rathor’s unique and exciting compositions have gained him a reputation for guitar virtuosity not only among a growing following of fans, but also in the eyes of fellow performers such as Mick Fleetwood, Kenny Loggins, Al Jarreau-- to name a few. Why? To quote the late Lenny Breau, “I think his music has a universal sound. It paints pictures of times and places and evokes a full range of emotions...I think this music is great!”
Rathor’s music is not only fun to hear, but it’s exciting to watch. He’s probably unparalleled in the art of bottlenecking. Joseph Woodard, Santa Barbara Nightlight, wrote Rathor “displays sizzling technique without sacrificing musical taste.”
Rathor has recorded an instrumental guitar album of astonishing power and originality "The Dance of the Black Panther" with members of the Kenny Loggins and Al Jarreau Bands. He has recorded a duo record "Jazz Cat" with vocalist Diana Smith that has received nationwide airplay. His newest work "Tales of Time and Eternity" is an original solo guitar album.

AWARDS: Raj Rathor has received three nominations for his album "The Dance of the Black Panther" in the categories of Best Instrumental Album and Best Instrumental song for "Nightflight" and "Just Another Phase". Raj walked away with an award for "Just Another Phase" in the Best Instrumental song category. The awards show held in the Kodak Theater complex in Hollywood is an annual creation of Just Plain Folks Productions based in Indianapolis, In. The nominees were selected from 102,000 songs and 7800 albums entered making this the largest music awards program of any kind in history. To put it into perspective, this project contained and reviewed more music this year than all the major labels combined released last year.
